Anna-Theodora Martin, pianist
Anna- Theodora Martin (or Theodora as she is known), joined the South Valley Symphony on Oct. 10 to play Grieg's Piano Concerto in A-minor. At 16 years old, Theodora is a powerhouse of a musician who has an uncontainable musical personality. Theodora was born in Bucharest, Romania and started taking piano lessons when she was seven years old. She has since moved to San Jose. CA where she is a sophomore honors student. She has participated in numerous national and international competitions, taking first place in many of them. Earlier this year Theodora won first place in the MTAC Concerto Competition Finals playing Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto. In addition to Beethoven, her favorite composer is Chopin.
